Flexibility

Alongside assisted stretching I also educate my clients to enable them to stretch on their own, so that they can continue their flexibility work when training on their own. Assisted stretching is part of Personal Training and is performed at the end of every session; I also offer flexibility sessions which are 30 minute sessions purely focussing on flexibility. These are offered in courses of 10 sessions.
POSTURAL ASSESSMENT AND CORRECTIVE EXERCISE:
I am trained to assess posture through various static and dynamic techniques, and from this can determine which muscles need to be stretched or strengthened to enable the client to have great posture. Most people have imbalances in their body through no fault of their own, from injuries, repetitive movements and many from tasks they perform at work. Anyone who carries a bag, works at a computer or plays any kind of sport will have muscular imbalances. They are very easy to diagnose and just as easy to correct through assisted stretching, various conditioning exercises and through a technique called SMR (Self Myofascial Release).
Everyone benefits from regular stretching, whether it’s to improve performance in sport or in everyday life; to prevent injuries and lower back problems or just to have a good range of motion and mobility at each joint. Flexibility decreases with age and inactivity and as it decreases the likelihood of injury and discomfort increases. I offer a form of stretching known as assisted stretching which means that the client can just relax and I stretch them. This enables a much

better stretch than you are able to achieve  on your own and therefore improves your flexibility; plus it’s very relaxing!
